The fifth day of Novena in preparations for Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Feast (Monthi Feast) began at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalapadav at 8:00 a.m. in the morning with the Holy Eucharistic Adoration followed by Holy Mass celebration.
Rev Fr Vincent Lobo preached motivational homily based on the life of Peter — a most remarkable figure and great testimony and teacher of the faith. Peter gives us a good motive to make an examination of conscience about our Christian personality. Are we truly faithful to the teachings of Jesus, to the point of actually thinking like God, or are we rather adapting ourselves to the criteria and way of thinking of this world ?.
Little children along with their parents came with flowers to offer it to Mother Mary. Rev Fr Vincent offered special prayers to all the little childrens of our parish. At last sweets were distributed to the gathered parishioners for the novena. Many faithful gathered with great fervour and devotion in this celebration.
