The Good Friday commemorating the passion and Cruxifixion of Jesus Christ and his Death at Calvary was observed with great fervour and devotion by faithful on April 19, 2019.
Prior to the evening liturgy of the day , There was the way of the cross at 10am and 2pm. A large number of faithful participated.
The Good Friday ceremony began at 3pm. Rev Fr Rakesh Mathias, the Rector of the Minor Seminary, Redemptorist Fathers, Alangar officiated the ceremony.

The passion was read by the celebrant , parish priest and Jeevan Pereira. The homily was highlighted on the sad death of Jesus recalls us that due to our sinfulness Jesus died on the cross. Secondly we all need to rejoice because Jesus has died by accepting our failures.
The Good Friday service and liturgy is divided into four parts , Passion of Christ , Reciting prayers for the various intentions of the church, shrouded crucifix unveiling and the holy communion.
The ceremony ended at 4pm.
