Nov 20, 2017:  Let us love, not with words but with deeds.

This Sunday, November 19th marks the first World Day of the Poor, which Pope Francis called for at the conclusion of the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

November 19th, Sunday the celebration began with novena at 8:15 a.m., followed by Holy Eucharistic mass at 8:30 a.m.

The liturgy was conducted by Padua students, Rev Fr Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest, celebrated the holy mass.

He preached a very meaningful homily on first world day of poor. He in his homily said "May it invite us to identify the poor living in our midst, to draw near to them, to encounter them, to embrace them and let them feel the warmth of love that breaks through their solitude.

We need to gaze them (poor). We must be generous towards the needy and downtrodden not only financially but also by meeting their basic needs and also we need to set an example of Jesus Christ. So that together in the Body of Christ we might grow in holiness, know our poverty and need for God".

Many faithful celebrated this holy mass with great devotion and fervour.
