Sept 12, 2017: "Bible Sunday" was organized by Bible Commission in Our Lady of Perpetual Succor Church, Nirmalpadav on Sunday 10th September 2017. The celebration began with solemn procession along with the Bible commission members followed by Holy Mass at 8.30 a.m.
Rev Fr Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest celebrated the Holy Mass. He preached a meaningful homily on the importance of the Holy Bible in our daily life. He also explained Holy scripture will always have personal application, and will never become irrelevant or outdated, because it addresses the universal needs of all people, how to come to know God, how to interact well with others, and how to know how the Lord would have you live your life to be happy and content. He also recalled this current year 2017 is dedicated as Lectio Divina Year by Udupi Diocese. He also stressed each and every family in the parish should have their Holy Bible in their home, not only that, each and every one should read and recite the scriptures.
All the faithful took part with great devotion and zeal in this celebration. Rev Fr Vincent Lobo asked all the parishioners to register their names with Bible Commission members for the Bible classes which are going to commence shortly.
