Sept 14, 2016: Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour was inaugurated on Wednesday by Rev. Fr. Roshan Cordero, Parish Priest, Christ King Church, Karkal town.
At 3.45 pm, Rosary was offered to Mother Mary, the Holy Eucharistic Adoration commenced after the rosary. Rev. Fr. Roshan Cordero took over the adoration with great spiritual fervor and devotion.
After the Adoration, Holy mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Roshan, along with concelebrant Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest Nirmalapadav.
Rev. Fr. Roshan in his homily said, “Mother Mary teaches her children to live the life of Eucharist and to follow the footsteps of Her son Jesus Christ. The Holy Eucharist we experience in Holy Mass which is centered around Jesus Christ, should be carried to our families when we go back to our home."
Each day Novena will be on different themes of life being associated to Mother Mary. In total 54 devotees were present for the first Novena with great devotion.
After the Mass, Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour was conducted by Rev. Fr. Roshan Cordero. Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo read out the various intentions of devotees and offered them to Mother Mary.
Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo in his announcements thanked the sponsors and donors of this novena, and he also thanked choir members for melodious singing.
At last Special Prayer was offered by placing hand over head of each devotees present for this novena. Also blessed bread was distributed for the gathering.
