The faithful of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church celebrated Christmas on 24th December at 6.30 in the evening. The whole event began with the Christmas Carols. At 7.00 pm the website of the church www.nirmalpadavchurch.org was inaugurated by Rev. Fr Henry Mascarenhas, the Estate Manager of the Diocese of Mangalore.  The web developer Mr Vincent Mascarenhas was felicitated by the Parish Priest. This programme was compiled by Melwyn D’Souza, the coordinator of website. During this time Mr Avil D’Souza was gratefully remembered for his full support to develop the website. Mr Vincent Mascarenhas addressed the gathering and  thanked all those who have worked for this development.

The Solemn Eucharist began at 7.15 pm. Rev. Fr Henry Mascarenhas presided over the ceremony. After the mass the Inter-religious Commission organized "Inter-religious Dialogue". Mr Yuvaraj Balipa,  Proprietor of Bahubali Coconut Oil Mill, Sanur; Shri Jayashanthi, Priest of Shrikrishna Temple, Karkala and Rev. Fr Henry Mascarenhas were the  speakers of the programme. Rev. Fr Vincent Lobo presided over the programme. Mrs Precilla Lobo, the Vice President of Parish Council; Mr Simon D’Souza , Secretary of Parish Council and Mr Becket Lobo , Coordinator of Inter-religious Commission were present on the occasion. Mr Simon welcomed the gathering, Mrs Precilla gave introductory talk and Mr Becket proposed the Vote of Thanks. All spoke on Peace, Unity among Religions, and Harmony among the People. During this programme the winners of "Crib and Star Competitions" were awarded.

After that cultural programme was held. St Joseph Ward people made everyone laugh through the comedy and jokes. The children of St Francis Ward people performed a Konkani dance. There was a "Christmas Play" acted out through sound and light programme. The whole programme got over at 10.45 pm.
