March 6, 2017: The Annual Catechism day of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalpadau was celebrated on Sunday, March 5th 2017. All arrangements were done meticulously by the catechism teachers of the Sunday Catechism. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist began with The Station of the Cross conducted by Mrs. Anitha D'sa, coordinator of Catechism Commission of the parish. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr Vincent Lobo presided over the Mass. Children participated meaningfully in the Catechism Day Liturgical Service.
Soon after the Holy Eucharistic mass, the catechism students along with their teachers and parents gathered together in the church mini hall to celebrate the Catechism Day 2017. The program began with prayer song conducted by the cathecism students. Various cultural programs and also the parables were enacted by the catechism childrens. Prizes were distributed to the childrens who were regular to Sunday classes and to the children who excelled in the catechism exam.
Rev Fr Vincent Lobo gave his message and congratulated the toppers and then spoke on the Importance of Catechism in the life of the students. He said that these days the importance should be given to the catechism by the parents. He also wished the parents for motivating their childrens. At the end he felicitated all the catechist teachers for their efforts and for the service they render during Sunday catechism.
