February 5th, 2017: The feast of Confraternity was celebrated with traditional joy and gaiety, the celebration was begun with Holy Eucharistic mass at 8.30 a.m.
The main celebrant was Rev. Fr Steven D’Souza, Director of Divya Jyothi Publications, Udupi Diocese. Rev Fr Vincent Lobo was the co-celebrant.
After the Solemn mass, Rev. Fr. Stevan led the adoration with meaningful prayer and invocation.
Eucharistic Procession was observed from main road to the church, the Holy Eucharist was placed in the Monstrance and the grand Eucharistic Procession began. The few altar servers was followed by the Holy Cross along with the brass band, and the parishioners and at the end of the procession, the Holy Eucharist was carried by Fr. Steven D’Souza on the decorated vehicle.
Meanwhile, the church bell rang continuously, fire-crackers were burst intermittently and hymns were sung which were audible throughout the procession as loud-speakers were mounted on poles at regular intervals. This was followed by the Solemn Eucharistic Blessing.
A large number of parishioners actively participated with devotion and fervor in this meaningful and spiritually enriching religious service.
Rev Fr Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest thanked the entire congregation for their active participation. A short documentary was also played to deliver the message on Lectio divina 2017, to the parishioners.
